subsidized housing for seasonal workers in Aragon


The Official Bulletin of Aragon has issued an order that calls for the submission of grants for temporary housing with a total of 558,760 euros in 2010

The Government of Aragon, through the Department of Economics, Finance and Employment, will allocate a total of 558,760 euros for the empowerment of 700 new positions for temporary worker housing in 2010. For 11 years, the regional government granted an aid package for the refurbishment of facilities for accommodation in appropriate conditions of workers who provide seasonal services on farms in Aragon. The accommodation enabled since 1999 amounted to 6,634, which represents an investment of 4.8 billion euros.

In 2009, the Directorate General of Labour invested a total of ¬ 461,350 euros for a total of 32 applications, allowing the creation of 566 places of accommodation in locations such as Fraga, La Almunia de Doña Godina, Caspe, Fraga, Agon, Zaidín, Cosuenda , Torrente de Cinca, Calatayud, Maella, Elbows, Caspe, Ruesca, Fuendejalón, Ricla, Pozuelo de Aragon, Tamarite of Litera, Paniza, Carignan, Alfamen, and Osso de Cinca

The Official Bulletin of Aragon, number 51 of 15 March, published this week the order that calls for the submission of grants which are intended to encourage proper maintenance of housing accommodation for serving workers in seasonal agricultural enterprises. This is to ensure the hygiene and living conditions of seasonal workers.

aid recipients are companies, organizations, cooperatives and agricultural organizations to conduct fitness activities lodging for temporary workers. When grant aid is considered as the following counties favored territory Cinca Medio, Bajo Cinca, Monegros, Caspe, Campo de Carignan, Jalón Medio, Ribera Alta del Ebro, Cinco Villas and Aragon.
